Parliamentary Year Book will be hosting a drinks reception in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 12 January 2011. Distinguished speakers from both educational and political backgrounds will highlight citizenship education’s unique position in England’s National Curriculum (as the only area of study that teaches younger people about our political system and how they can get involved in it) and will explore the years ahead of citizenship under the Coalition Government’s planned education reforms.
We will be inviting Parliamentarians, journalists and Parliamentary Year Book supporters to discuss how Parliamentary Year Book can continue to champion citizenship in a changing educational landscape.
If you would to attend please get in touch by emailing hello@parliamentaryyearbook.co.uk – please be aware, nevertheless, that spaces will be limited. For further guidance, see the relevant UK information.
