Funding available for Citizenship and values projects from the Five Nations Network
Great news for educators and others as Parliamentary Year Book supporter the Five Nations Network launches a new round of funding for Citizenship projects.
The Five Nations Network is encouraging educators and others to apply for limited grants to undertake action research projects into Citizenship and values education. Applicants will need to ensure their projects meet four key criteria. Projects should:
1. be limited-scale, and school or school/community-based
2. involve inter-nation collaboration between at least two countries in the Five Nations Network (England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales)
3. be of an innovative character; and
4. develop on existing links and projects to support transfer of proposals to other jurisdictions.
Examples of successful applications and more details can be found on the Five Nations website.
Applications should be submitted by 7 December 2012.
Notes: the Five Nations Network brings together policy makers, educators and other stakeholders with an interest in values and Citizenship education. The network is funded by the Gordon Cook Foundation. For further guidance, see the relevant UK information.
